A related compound, MODAFINIL, boasts similar attributes, but is considerably
more costly. Both are relatively new items on the smart drug market,
available by prescription in the U.S. or via overseas mail order only,
so keep in mind that the full story on these drugs has yet to be written.
Although the scientific consensus is that Adrafinil is "safe" for normal,
healthy individuals, it’s best to proceed with caution--as it is with all
smart drugs.
THE DOWNSIDE: Avoid Adrafinil if you are hyperactive, epileptic or suffer
from liver or kidney troubles. A liver test may be advisable before starting
Adrafinil, and in the months thereafter, in order to discern a proper dosage
and to eliminate any questions about side effects.
